Privacy Policy
Effective October 28, 2026
This policy explains what data the mobile quiz game “Globeloria” collects, why it is needed and how to delete it. The developer of the “Globeloria” app is responsible for players’ data. For any question, write to absolutelylumen.dev@gmail.com.
App publisher: Andrii Ilin. For questions about your data, write to absolutelylumen.dev@gmail.com.
1. What we collect
- Guest identifier. On first launch the app creates a random identifier and keeps it on your device. It lets the server recognise you without registration. The server stores only a hash of it.
- Device identifier (Android ID). The app sends it at the first sign-in, and the server keeps only an irreversible fingerprint of it (a keyed hash). It serves one purpose: the welcome globes are given once per device.
- Google account data — only if you choose “Sign in with Google”: your Google account identifier, name, e-mail address and a link to your profile picture.
- Game data: the rounds you played, your answers and answer times, hints used, your balance and history of globes, achievements, and the language you chose.
- Technical data: IP address and request times in server logs, session tokens and sign-in times.
- Data on your device: settings (language, volume, vibration), local statistics and the session token. They are removed together with the app.
- Usage data (Google Analytics for Firebase): which topics you choose, rounds started and finished with their score, hints used, how rewarded ads ended and which pages of the app you open, together with the app version, device model, operating system, country (worked out from the IP address) and a random app instance identifier. Never your name or e-mail.
- Notification data: the device’s Firebase Cloud Messaging token, the platform (Android or iOS), your time zone, the app’s language, whether notifications are on, and when the last reminder was sent. They serve only to send notifications in the daytime of your time zone. Notifications can be turned off in Settings → Notifications or in the device’s settings.
We do not collect contacts, location, photos, files or payment details.
2. Advertising and analytics
The app shows ads from Google AdMob, including rewarded videos. For that, Google receives your device’s advertising ID, IP address, device information and data about how you interact with ads. To credit a globe for a watched video we pass Google a technical number of the ad session — never your name or e-mail.
Where the law requires it (including the EU, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), personalised ads are shown only with your consent. How Google uses data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can reset your advertising ID or turn off ad personalisation in your device settings.
To see which topics and features are used and to make the game better, the app sends the usage data listed in section 1 to Google Analytics for Firebase. Where the law requires consent (including the EU, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), analytics identifiers are stored and used only if you agree in the same form that asks about ads; until then nothing identifying is stored on the device. There you can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy settings. Elsewhere analytics rest on our legitimate interest in improving the game. Google keeps this data for up to 14 months and may process it in the USA, relying on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. How Google handles it: firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
3. Why we need this data
- to run the game: deal questions, judge answers, count globes and achievements;
- to keep your progress and restore it after you sign in with Google;
- to protect the game from abuse and fraud;
- to remind you that new globes have come and tell you about new questions, if notifications are on;
- to understand how the game is used and make it better;
- to show the ads that keep the game free.
Legal bases: providing the service you asked for, our legitimate interest in keeping the game secure and working, and, for advertising, your consent where it is required.
4. Who receives data
- Google — advertising (AdMob), usage analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase), notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging) and Google sign-in;
- our hosting provider — the game’s servers are located in Germany (EU).
We do not sell your data and do not share it with anyone else, unless the law requires it.
5. How long we keep data
Data is kept for as long as your account exists. Unused sessions expire automatically. Server logs are kept for the limited time needed for diagnostics and security.
6. How to delete your account and data
In the app: Settings → Delete account and data. This works both for guests and after signing in with Google. If you no longer have the app, use the account deletion page or write to absolutelylumen.dev@gmail.com.
When you ask for deletion you are signed out on all devices at once. The data itself is kept for another 30 days: if you sign in again within that time, the deletion is cancelled and the account stays as it was. This keeps deletion from being used to collect free globes and rewards again. When the time is up we permanently erase your sign-in identifiers (guest and Google), name, e-mail, profile picture, all sessions and achievements. Anonymised records of played rounds and globe movements remain for statistics; they can no longer be linked to you. Irreversible fingerprints of the sign-in and device identifiers also remain: the identifiers cannot be recovered from them, and they only keep the welcome globes from being given again.
7. Your rights
You may ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its processing, and withdraw consent to personalised advertising. Write to absolutelylumen.dev@gmail.com and we will answer within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority of your country.
8. Children
The game is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.
9. Security
The app talks to the server only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The guest identifier and session tokens are stored on the server as hashes.
10. Changes to this policy
If the policy changes, we will publish the new version on this page and update the date above.
